Responsibilities
- Assist healthcare providers with patient examinations and procedures.
- Measure and record vital signs, including blood pressure, temperature, and pulse.
- Prepare patients for examinations by explaining procedures and ensuring their comfort.
- Maintain accurate patient records and documentation in accordance with medical terminology standards.
- Perform basic life support as needed during patient care.
- Schedule appointments and manage patient flow within the clinic or hospital setting.
- Provide exceptional patient service, addressing any questions or concerns they may have.
- Ensure cleanliness and organization of examination rooms and medical equipment.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care.
Qualifications
- Knowledge of physiology, anatomy, and medical terminology is essential.
- Experience in an inpatient or outpatient setting preferred, particularly in family practice.
- Strong interpersonal skills with a focus on providing excellent patient service.
- Ability to perform basic life support techniques as required.
- Proficiency in taking vital signs accurately and efficiently.
- Attention to detail and strong organizational skills are necessary for maintaining patient records.
- Certification as a Medical Assistant is preferred but not mandatory; relevant experience will be considered.
