Join the power movement as a Magnet Factory Data Analyst
Design and implement intuitive data visualizations to effectively communicate data insights, resulting in increased adoption of Tableau for data-driven decision making across the organization.
\n- Proactively analyze data to answer key questions to drive business performance and improve efficiency and productivity;
- Trace data requirements, data sources, and data flows for processes and reports;
- Design and implement data visualizations to effectively communicate data insights;
- Develop and maintain data collection processes to solve engineering problems;
- Apply Lean Six Sigma methodologies to improve production;
- Guide cross-functional teams, and create a collaboration platform between engineers and production teams to solve problems using data driven decision making;
- Develop and maintain data dictionaries and data models;
- Build analytical tools that utilize the data pipeline to provide actionable insights to business users;
- Utilize ETL software, such as Tableau Prep, AWS Glue, and Redshift, to transform the data;
- Develop Tableau reports and dashboards;
- Establish standard for dashboards and reporting, and govern the deployment; and
- Integrate data from multiple sources, and analyze large and complex data sets using statistical methods to extract insights and identify patterns.
- May telecommute part of the week from commuting distance to Milpitas, CA in accordance with the company’s flexible working policy.
- A Bachelor’s degree (or foreign equivalent) in Mechanical Engineering or a related field followed by 2 years of post-baccalaureate experience as a Data Analyst, Engineer, or similar role within a manufacturing or supply chain organization.
- 2 years of experience designing and building data flows using Tableau Prep, JMP, Minitab, and Flexism;
- 2 years of experience developing statistical models based on manufacturing engineering principles, including capability analysis, control charts, pareto analysis, hypothesis testing, and regression analysis;
- 2 years of experience utilizing SQL to write and update complex queries for data extraction/transformation;
- 2 years of experience utilizing languages, including Python, PySpark, and Glue, to develop set of jobs/code for manipulating data;
- 2 years of experience with data visualization and Tableau dashboard development.
