By joining our Office of Audits, Division of Road Fund Audits in the U-DRIVE-IT/IRP Branch as a/an AUDIT MANAGER in Franklin County, you’ll have the opportunity to provide overall management of a professional audit branch in the analysis of financial and statistical records and performs other duties as required with in the Division of Road Fund Audits.
Responsibilities Include, But Are Not Limited To, The Following

Minimum Requirements
EDUCATION: Graduate of a college or university with a bachelor's degree (which includes twenty semester hours or thirty quarter hours in accounting).
EXPERIENCE, TRAINING, OR SKILLS: Five years of professional auditing experience.
Substitute EDUCATION for EXPERIENCE: NONE
Substitute EXPERIENCE for EDUCATION: Certification as a Certified Public Accountant or as a Certified Internal Auditor will substitute for the required education.
SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS (AGE, LICENSURE, REGULATION, ETC.): NONE

Incumbents working in this job title perform duties in an office setting. Travel to audit site may be required.

Responsibilities Include, But Are Not Limited To, The Following
- Oversees and conducts audits of UDI/IRP programs to ensure compliance with regulations and accurate reporting and revenue allocation.
- Develops and implements an annual audit plan, selects auditees, and conducts on-site and desk audits.
- Analyzes audit findings, prepares comprehensive audit reports, and communicates results to relevant stakeholders.
- Monitors compliance with audit recommendations and assists agencies in implementing corrective actions
- Provides technical expertise and support to other divisions within the Cabinet as needed.
- Serves as the primary point of contact for audit protests and payment plan negotiations, ensuring timely resolution and accurate tracking.
- Evaluate Employee Performance and develop individual goals for auditors in the UDI / IRP branch.
- Ability to understand and evaluate vehicle distance records for compliance with knowledge in UDI /IRP regulations.
- Evaluate and understand systems of Internal Controls.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Manage a team of six professional auditors.
