The Facilities Division is hiring a Facility Maintenance Supervisor II that oversees and delegates all general maintenance functions and manages tenant relations with respect to general upkeep and cleanliness for an office complex, institution, or resort park and/or grounds.
Job duties include but are not limited to the following:
EDUCATION: High school graduate.
EXPERIENCE, TRAINING, OR SKILLS: Must have five years of building maintenance, grounds maintenance, general trades, skilled trades, moving services or mechanical maintenance experience. Some of the required experience must include both records keeping experience and limited or full responsibility for work of others.
Substitute EDUCATION for EXPERIENCE: Formal training in one of the above or related fields will substitute for the experience on a year-for-year basis.
Substitute EXPERIENCE for EDUCATION: Experience in one of the above or related fields will substitute for the education on a year-for-year basis.
SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS (AGE, LICENSURE, REGULATION, ETC.): NONE
Working Conditions
Incumbents in this job title may be exposed to extreme temperatures which requires the following of safety procedures. Will be on call 24 hours a day.

- Supervises, assigns, inspects and ensures the accuracy of work performed by maintenance and custodial personnel;
- Authorizes or disapproves use of leave time as agency policies direct;
- Interprets and enforces agency policies and procedures with reference to assigned areas of responsibility;
- Makes recommendations for commendations or disciplinary actions;
- Responsible for requisitioning and maintaining inventories of custodial supplies and equipment required for the upkeep of buildings and grounds;
- Performs inspections and compliance with window, carpet, rug, furniture cleaning and pest control contract services;
- Provides orientation training to newly employed grounds and custodial personnel;
- Explains state policies and procedures to all supervised personnel and ensures compliance;
- Prepares and submits time and attendance records for personnel supervised.
