This is a highly responsible position in the Justice and Public Safety Cabinet. The employee is expected to perform all duties to the best of their ability, act in a responsible manner at all times, demonstrate leadership qualities, and treat all staff, youth, and persons with respect. This is a demanding position that requires maturity, reliability, and self-discipline. Career growth and advancement are encouraged through training and mentoring opportunities.
Responsibilities Include, But Are Not Limited To, The Following
EDUCATION: Graduate of a college or university with a bachelor's degree in accounting, business administration, public administration or a related field.
EXPERIENCE, TRAINING, OR SKILLS: Two years of professional accounting, business administration, public administration, or related experience.
Substitute EDUCATION for EXPERIENCE: Graduate study in one of the above or related fields will substitute for the experience on a year-for-year basis.
Substitute EXPERIENCE for EDUCATION: Additional experience in one of the above or related fields will substitute for the education on a year-for- year basis.

Responsibilities Include, But Are Not Limited To, The Following
- Supervises and directs administration of business and fiscal affairs of a large DJJ facility.
- Supervises the business operations of a facility to include executing all fiscal transactions relating to the facility. Receives, processes and manages agency revenue funds. Assists superintendent in the preparation of facility budget. Compiles and prepares budget and financial records and reports.
- Maintains accurate records on accounts payable and receivable. Prepares and processes documents for payment according to policy and procedures. Maintains records for American Correctional Association (ACA) compliance. Maintains accurate records on accounts payable and receivable. - Manages and reconciles all consumable inventories. Records and documents fixed asset inventories.
- Requests bids from vendors to include preventative maintenance agreements, maintenance and repair of fixed asset equipment and personal service contracts.
- Supervises assigned staff and conducts employee performance evaluations.
