The Information Office Supervisor will work as an integral part of the Information and Education Division and oversee a staff focused on customer service within the Print Information Branch.

EDUCATION: Graduate of a college or university with a bachelor's degree.
EXPERIENCE, TRAINING, OR SKILLS: Four years of experience in journalism, public relations, or experience related to the duties and responsibilities of this job title series.
Substitute EDUCATION for EXPERIENCE: NONE
Substitute EXPERIENCE for EDUCATION: Experience in one of the above areas will substitute for the required education on a year-for-year basis. Current or prior military experience will substitute for the required college on a year-for-year basis.
SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS (AGE, LICENSURE, REGULATION, ETC.): NONE

The Information Office Supervisor will work as an integral part of the Information and Education Division and oversee a staff focused on customer service within the Print Information Branch.
Responsibilities Include, But Are Not Limited To, The Following
- Performs supervisory functions for Information Center Staff. Approves timesheets and leave time. Develops call reports. Provides guidance to staff on proper customer service. Maintains knowledge and awareness of changes to rules, regulations, and/or procedures within KDFWR. Answers calls and emails from the public, responding with professionalism and accurate information.
- Oversees the issuance of disability authorization cards for the disability license as well as various commercial licenses. Ensures proper procedures and protocols are followed by staff.
- Researches and implements efficiencies in the Information Center operation. Includes upgrades to communication equipment and software. Determines more efficient ways to communicate with the public.
- Organizes and implements training for staff. Conducts at least two training seminars a year for staff to update them on regulations and department goals.
- Candidates should have a strong background in customer service and communication skills.
- Candidates should also have experience with Microsoft Office.
- Organizational skills.
- The ability to multitask varies job duties.
- A 37.50-hour work week (with occasional overtime required).
