Jackson County Area Technology Center is seeking a detailed and motivated individual to lead the area technology center. Jackson County ATC will proudly serve students within Jackson County Schools. Qualified candidates will be detailed individuals who demonstrate strong technology and team building skills. Candidates will also demonstrate the ability to effectively communicate the benefits of career and technical education to students and stakeholders along with moral character and willingness to go the extra steps for students.
The Kentucky Department of Education, Office of Career and Technical Education and Student Transition, Jackson Area Technology Center, has an opening for a Kentucky Tech Center Principal.
This position is advertised as part of KRS Chapter 156 OCTE for employment through the Office of Career and Technical Education. It is not subject to the provisions of KRS 18A for classified or unclassified service
Duties And Responsibilities
Salary: Dependent upon rank and experience

EDUCATION: Kentucky Vocational Principal’s Certificate or Kentucky statement of Eligibility for Vocational School Principal
OR
Kentucky Secondary Principal’s Certificate or Kentucky Statement of Eligibility for Secondary Principal, or a valid Kentucky Certificate for Career & Technical Education
OR
Kentucky Department of Education Vocational Technical School Certificate in Administration, Supervision, and Coordination issued prior to 1988.
OR
Have completed all coursework requirements and will receive a Kentucky Vocational Principal’s Certificate or a Kentucky Secondary Principal’s Certificate within one year of initial hire date.
