The Kentucky Department of Education (KDE), Office of Career & Technical Education (OCTE), Clark County Area Technology Center in Winchester, KY has an opening for an Automotive Technology Instructor.
This position is advertised as part of KRS Chapter 156 OCTE for employment through the Office of Career and Technical Education. It is not subject to the provisions of KRS 18A for classified or unclassified service.
Duties And Responsibilities
Applicants and employees in this classification may be required to submit to a drug screening test and background check.
Salary Dependent On Qualifications, Training, And Experience.
KDE participates in E-Verify and will provide the federal government with your Form I-9 information to confirm that you are authorized to work in the U.S. KDE will only use E-Verify once you have accepted a job offer and completed the Form I-9.

Minimum Requirements
EDUCATION: Must hold the Rank III Kentucky teaching certificate in the subject area to be taught;
OR
Must hold a Kentucky Statement of Eligibility in the subject area to be taught;
OR
Four years of appropriate work experience, two of which must be in the last five years.
EXPERIENCE, TRAINING, OR SKILLS: NONE
Substitute EDUCATION for EXPERIENCE: NONE
Substitute EXPERIENCE for EDUCATION: NONE
SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS (AGE, LICENSURE, REGULATION, ETC.): Personal ASE certifications in the areas the program is certified in. Applicant can be hired without the needed personal certifications but must take and pass the needed ASE tests at the next available testing period. (If hired April through September, must take, and pass the needed tests during the November testing period. If hired October through March, must take, and pass the needed tests during the May testing period).
