The Kentucky Department of Education (KDE), Office of Career and Technical Education (OCTE), Campbell County Area Technology Center in Alexandria, Kentucky has an opening for an Electrical Technology Instructor.

Duties And Responsibilities
In accordance with KRS 161.220 the applicant selected for this position will become a member of the Teachers’ Retirement System.
Applicants and employees in this classification may be required to submit to a drug screening test and background check.
KDE participates in E-Verify and will provide the federal government with your Form I-9 information to confirm that you are authorized to work in the U.S. KDE will only use E-Verify once you have accepted a job offer and completed the Form I-9.

Minimum Requirements
EDUCATION: Must hold the Rank III Kentucky teaching certificate in the subject area to be taught
OR
Must hold a Kentucky Statement of Eligibility in the subject area to be taught
OR
Four years of appropriate work experience, two of which must be in the last five years.
EXPERIENCE, TRAINING, OR SKILLS: NONE
Substitute EDUCATION for EXPERIENCE: NONE
Substitute EXPERIENCE for EDUCATION: NONE
SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS (AGE, LICENSURE, REGULATION, ETC.): Must be able to acquire the personal national certifications applicable to the program area (NCCER, etc.). Applicant can be hired without the needed personal (NCCER) certification, but must acquire the needed certification at the next available testing period.

- Teaches occupational preparatory classes within a career and technical education program.
- Performs other duties as required.
