Description
The Radcliff Veteran Center is a skilled nursing facility that cares for the Commonwealth of Kentucky'sVeterans. Our mission is to Serve Kentucky's Veterans by fostering independence, preserving dignity andproviding compassionate care.
The Nurse Manager position is responsible for primary responsibility of total nursing operations for theCarl M. Brashear Radcliff Veterans Center.
Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to :
- Oversees nursing operations for the Radcliff Veterans Center
- Writes, implements policies and procedures for care of residents based on federal and state regulations
- Evaluates resident care on a daily basis to ensure care needs are met
- Interviews, recommends hiring, disciplines employees and supervises staff
Preferred Skills and Abilities :
Minimum Requirements
EDUCATION : Graduate of a college or university with a bachelor's degree in Nursing.
EXPERIENCE, TRAINING, OR SKILLS : Must have five years of experience as a Registered Nurse two years of which must be as a supervisor of nursing in long term care, acute care, or public / community health setting.
Substitute EDUCATION for EXPERIENCE : A master's degree in Nursing will substitute for one year of the non-supervisory experience.
Substitute EXPERIENCE for EDUCATION : Experience as a Registered Nurse will substitute for the required education on a year-for-year basis.
SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS (AGE, LICENSURE, REGULATION, ETC.) : Must be licensed in Kentucky as a Registered Nurse or possess a valid work permit issued by the Kentucky Board of Nursing. https : / / apps.legislature.ky.gov / law / statutes / statute.aspx?id=52116https : / / apps.legislature.ky.gov / law / statutes / chapter.aspx?id=53751http : / / www.kbn.ky.gov Must maintain any required licensure(s), certification(s), or other credentials for the length of employment in this job classification. Works with patients, residents, or employees who may have been exposed to infectious diseases which requires the following of safety procedures
Probationary Period
This job has an initial and promotional probationary period of 6 months, except as provided in KRS 18A.111.
