The Kentucky Department of Corrections (DOC), Division of Adult Institutions operates 13 correctional facilities that house Kentucky's adult inmate population. The mission of DOC is to protect the citizens of the Commonwealth and to provide a safe, secure and humane environment for staff and offenders in carrying out the mandates of the legislative and judicial processes; and, to provide opportunities for offenders to acquire skills which facilitate non-criminal behavior.

This position performs beginning level duties in the procurement of and/or payment of goods and non-professional services on an agency wide-basis.

EDUCATION: Graduate of a college or university with a bachelor's degree.
EXPERIENCE, TRAINING, OR SKILLS: NONE
Substitute EDUCATION for EXPERIENCE: NONE
Substitute EXPERIENCE for EDUCATION: Experience in purchasing will substitute for the required college on a year for year basis. Certification with the National Institute of Governmental Purchasing as a Certified Professional Public Buyer (CPPB) will substitute for one year of the college requirement OR certification as a Certified Public Purchasing Officer (CPPO) will substitute for two years of the college requirement.
SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS (AGE, LICENSURE, REGULATION, ETC.): NONE

- Audit and invoices in eMARS according to policy and process payments in eMARS.
- Track expenditure data and provides findings to supervisor for budgetary needs.
- Track invoicing data for budgetary forecasting.
- Process monthly inmate work-detail timesheets and internal billings to state agencies in eMARS.
- ProCard site administrator.
- Assist with monitoring of budget and financial data.
- Process procurement documents for ordering of commodities.
