By joining the Training and Development Branch as a Safety Coordinator in Franklin county, you will have the opportunity to aid in coordinating, developing, and implementing the Energy & Envinronment Cabinet's Safety and Health Program.

Minimum Requirements
EDUCATION: Graduate of a college or university with a bachelor's degree.
EXPERIENCE, TRAINING, OR SKILLS: Two years of experience in safety operations or inspection, incident management, or emergency services.
Substitute EDUCATION for EXPERIENCE: NONE
Substitute EXPERIENCE for EDUCATION: Additional administrative, safety operations and/or inspection, incident management, or emergency services experience will substitute for the required education on a year-for-year basis.
SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS (AGE, LICENSURE, REGULATION, ETC.): NONE
Working Conditions
Incumbent must be able to make oral presentations and conduct training sessions for small to large groups. Travel may be required.

- Perform safety inspections
- Prepare Inspection Report and recommend corrective actions for findings and conduct follow up site inspections.
- Instruct Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) and First Aid Training Classes as well as other safety related training classes
- Other duties as assigned
- CPR and First Aid Certification
- CPR and First Aid Instructor Certification
- Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) 10 General Industry Outreach Trainer Certification
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Strong organizational skills.
- Reliable team player.
