EXPERIENCE, TRAINING, OR SKILLS: Must have four years of engineering experience in addition to that required for licensure as a professional engineer.

SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS (AGE, LICENSURE, REGULATION, ETC.): Must possess a valid driver's license prior to employment in this job classification. Must be licensed as a professional engineer by the Kentucky Board of Engineers and Land Surveyors OR must be licensed in another state with the ability to obtain a Professional Engineering license from the Kentucky Board of Engineers and Land Surveyors within the employee's initial six month probationary period. Engineering decisions recommended by individuals without a Kentucky Professional Engineering License must be approved by a KRS Chapter 322 Licensed Professional Engineer until licensure is obtained. Responsibilities Include But Are Not Limited To The Following
- Manage a team highly competent professionals.
- Review and approve engineering documents prepared by techinal and sub-professional personnel.
- Coordinate the development of drainage design with KYTC Districts, the Division of Environmental Analysis, Construction, Maintenance, Right of Way and Structures.
- Primary contact and KYTC representative for coordination with all federal, state and local agencies.
- Drainage complaint review and legal request review of drainage on the statewide network.
- Leading a team of highly competent professionals.
- Drainage design and understanding of department's policies and procedures.
- Knowledge of computer software including but not limited to Excel, Word, and Bentley products.
