DESCRIPTION OF WORK
In this position, you will be responsible for maintaining the optimal nutritional status of residents by planning, implementing, and evaluating effective nutritional interventions. This includes conducting thorough nutritional assessments, completing accurate documentation, and developing formal care plans for each resident, in compliance with applicable laws and regulations. Your duties will involve writing and reviewing nutritional care plans, offering dietetic recommendations based on physicians' orders and dietary needs, and planning or adjusting standard and therapeutic menus to meet medical prescriptions, nutritional standards, and quality expectations. Additionally, you will consult with residents to provide guidance on dietary restrictions and offer specific instructions to staff for preparing special diet meals.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:
- Full-time employment, 37.5 hours per week

Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch.
- You may be required to work evenings and weekends as needed.
- Overtime and travel may be required based on operational needs.
- Salary: In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY
QUALIFICATIONS
Special Requirement:
- You must possess certification as a Registered Dietitian as defined by the Commission on Registration of the American Dietetic Association; or proof of eligibility for such certification.
Other Requirements:

- You must be able to perform essential job functions.

- A conditional offer of employment will require a medical examination.

This position falls under the provisions of the Older Adult Protective Services Act.
