DESCRIPTION OF WORK
In the role of a Corrections Stock Clerk within the Department of Corrections, you will oversee the processes related to the receipt, storage, distribution, and inventory management of various stock items and supplies specific to your designated facility. Your duties will include conducting thorough inventory assessments, as well as receiving, storing, and issuing essential supplies and raw materials. Additionally, you will be responsible for training and supervising inmate workers in the procedures related to the receipt, storage, distribution, and inventory control of these stock items. Furthermore, you will prepare regular reports and operate equipment such as motor vehicles, forklifts, or hand trucks to facilitate the movement of large or heavy items, manage the removal of scrap materials, and ensure timely deliveries.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:
- Full-time employment
- This position is eligible for full retirement benefits at age 50 or 55
- Work hours are 7:30 AM to 3:30 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch.
- Telework: You will not have the option to telework in this position.
- Salary: In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY
- One year of stockroom, warehouse, retail sales, or clerical experience; or
- An equivalent combination of experience and training.
Special Requirement:
- This position requires possession of an active motor vehicle license.
Additional Requirements:
- Successful completion of basic training in Elizabethtown, Pennsylvania is required.
- You must be able to perform essential job functions.

- You must pass a background investigation and meet Criminal Justice Information Services (CJIS) compliance requirements.
