DESCRIPTION OF WORK

In this professional administrative position within the Lebanon County MH/ID/EI Program, you will be responsible for ensuring management services in Lebanon County are provided in accordance with established laws, regulations, policies, procedures, and standards. This includes identifying factors which impede the effectiveness or quality of case management services provided in Lebanon County and, in conjunction with community agencies and providers. You will have the opportunity to develop recommendations and request remediation for changes in policy or procedures to improve services. This position maintains a positive relationship with ID contracted providers, community agencies, state offices, and state facilities in order to promote effective case management services. Additional responsibilities include:

  • Serving in a consultation and liaison capacity to community agencies
  • Interpreting the ID services program to the community
  • Participating in local high profile, dual diagnosis, and complex case meetings and service planning development
  • Completing ID/Autism intakes
  • Handling annual recertifications
  • Planning and carrying out in-service training activities
  • Conducting investigations of incidents and taking appropriate action
  • Facilitating monthly meetings
  • Collaborating with department head staff regarding unit activities

Work Schedule and Additional Information:
  • Full-time employment
  • Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch.
  • Telework: You will not have the option to telework in this position.
  • Salary: In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY

QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
  • Two years of professional experience in the field of intellectual disabilities, and a bachelor's degree; or
  • An equivalent combination of experience and training.

Other Requirements:

  • You must be able to perform essential job functions.

Legal Requirements:
  • This position falls under the provisions of the Child Protective Services Law.
    • Under the Law, a conditional offer of employment will require submission and approval of satisfactory criminal history reports including, but not limited to, PA State Police clearance, PA Child Abuse history clearance, and FBI Fingerprint clearance.
