DESCRIPTION OF WORK
As a Food Service Worker 1, you will have a range of responsibilities in a dietary operation, including food preparation, sanitation, and assembly of supplemental nourishment for distribution to patient units. You will also assist with food service for special hospital functions and prepare simple menu items, such as broth and sandwiches. Additionally, you will have the responsibility of preparing bag meals as needed. As tasks will be performed under the direction of the Food Service Supervisor and based on the current patient census. You will play a vital role in keeping the department running smoothly and providing nourishment to our consumers.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:
- Full-time employment, 40 hours per week

Work hours are 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM, rotating schedule, with a 30-minute lunch.
- Rotating off duty days, working every other weekend and holidays as assigned
- Work schedule and hours may change based on operational needs
- Overtime as operationally necessary

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY
- You must be able to perform essential job functions.
Legal Requirement:
- A conditional offer of employment will require a medical examination.

This position falls under the provisions of the Older Adult Protective Services Act.
- Under the Act, a conditional offer of employment will require submission and approval of satisfactory criminal history reports, including but not limited to, PA State Police and FBI clearance.
