DESCRIPTION OF WORK
As a Highway Foreman 2, you will lead a highway maintenance crew, overseeing manual labor and operating heavy equipment for maintenance and repairs. Your responsibilities include planning projects, creating schedules, and supervising equipment operators and laborers. You will keep accurate fieldwork records, address issues, injuries, and equipment damage, and manage highway-related complaints. You will prioritize work operations and schedule necessary resources to reduce downtime.
You will train crew members on adequately using tools and equipment, ensuring all work meets standards. You will set up traffic control for work zones and maintain a safe environment for your crew and the public. Additionally, you will follow safety protocols to prevent accidents and report any incidents, providing first aid and ensuring prompt medical care when needed.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:
- Full-time employment
- Work hours are 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with 30-minute lunch.
- Salary: In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY
QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
- One year of experience as a Highway Foreman 1; or
- Two years of experience in the performance of lead work or skilled tradesman duties on a highway maintenance or construction project; or
- Any equivalent combination of experience and training.
Special Requirements:
- This position requires possession of a valid Class C Pennsylvania Driver's License.
Additional Requirements:
- You must be able to perform essential job functions.
