DESCRIPTION OF WORK
In the role of a Maintenance Repairman 2, your primary duty involves maintaining the facilities and grounds at Fort Indiantown Gap. This position requires you to conduct routine preventive maintenance on both electrical and plumbing systems. Additionally, you will be tasked with troubleshooting, diagnosing, and repairing these systems as necessary to guarantee their optimal functionality and efficiency. Your expertise will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of the facilities.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:
- Full-time employment
- Work hours are 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with 30-minute lunch.
- Salary: In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY
- Two years of experience as a Maintenance Repairman 1; or
- Four years of experience in building and plant maintenance work, which has involved at least two of the building, electrical, or mechanical trades; or
- Any equivalent combination of experience and training that affords the applicant with the Required Knowledges, Skills, and Abilities.
Special Requirement:
- This position requires possession of a valid Pennsylvania Class C Driver's License.
Additional Requirement:
- You must maintain favorable National Crime Information Center (NCIC) screening for admittance to Fort Indiantown Gap.
- You must be able to perform essential job functions.

Preferred Qualifications (not required):
- Any formal training (high school vocational program, apprenticeship, or post-high school technical training program) in a skilled building, electrical, or mechanical trade
- Experience in commercial maintenance of buildings and equipment
- Experience in commercial carpentry
- Experience working in the electrical trade field
- Experience in the plumbing trade
- Experience with 3-phase wiring to include emergency generators, Automatic Transfer Switches, switch gears, and 3-phase panels
- Experience in the maintenance and repair of refrigeration and/or HVAC systems
- Experience with domestic hot water mixing valves, recirculating loops, aqua stats, and instantaneous water heaters
- Experience with the provisions of Life Safety Codes and Uniform Construction Code (UCC), as it relates to repairs of buildings
- Structural experience in the maintenance or repair of buildings
