THE POSITION

DESCRIPTION OF WORK
In this position, you will provide skilled journey level work in several trades in the maintenance, repair, and construction of buildings, facilities, and natural resources at Shawnee State Park. Work will involve acting as lead worker for semi-skilled workers, reading and understanding blueprints and sketches, and working independently, all to complete projects involving carpentry, plumbing, masonry, mechanical, electrical, and landscaping trades and general maintenance.
At the direction of the supervisor or park manager you will also maintain records for work completed and estimate the materials and time needed to complete assignments. Work Schedule and Additional Information:
- Seasonal, full-time employment
- Work hours are 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM, five days per week, with a 30-minute lunch. Shift and schedule can vary to meet the operational needs of a seven day per week operational facility.
- Telework: You will not have the option to telework in this position.
- Salary: In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY
QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
- Two years of experience as a Maintenance Repairman 1 (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration); or
- Four years of experience in building and plant maintenance work, which has involved at least two of the building, electrical, or mechanical trades; or
- Any equivalent combination of experience and training that affords the applicant with the Required Knowledges, Skills, and Abilities.
Special Requirements:
- You must possess a valid Pennsylvania Class C Driver's License.
Other Requirements:
- PA residency requirement is currently waived for this title.
- You must be able to perform essential job functions.
