Work Schedule and Additional Information:
- Full-time employment, 37.5 hours per week
- Work hours are 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM (1st shift), rotating weekends and holidays, with a 30-minute lunch. Work hours may change based on operational needs.
- Overtime as needed
- As an essential employee, you will be required to work during emergencies and office closings.
- Salary: In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY
- Successful completion of the Wastewater Treatment Plant Operator Trainee (commonwealth title) program and certification as a wastewater treatment plant operator for any class and type of plant; or
- Possession of a valid certification issued by the Pennsylvania State Board for Certification of Water and Wastewater Treatment Plant Operators as a wastewater treatment plant operator for any class and type of plant.
Special Requirements:
- You must be in possession of a valid Pennsylvania Class C Driver's License.
- You must be in possession of a valid Wastewater Systems Operators that is equal to or greater than a Class B, Subclass E, 1 and 4 Certification.
Additional Requirements:
- You must pass a favorable National Crime Information Center (NCIC) screening for admittance to Fort Indiantown Gap.
- You must be able to perform essential job functions.
Preferred Qualifications (not required):
- Formal training in wastewater management
- Experience in the operation of a Sequential Batch Reactor (SBR) Wastewater Treatment Plant (WWTP)
- Experience in the operation, maintenance, and repair of motors, pumps, compressors, valves, filters, and/or other related WWTP equipment
- Experience in performing sampling/testing of plant influent or effluent for environmental protection
