DESCRIPTION OF WORK
As an Aide Trainee, you will be responsible and accountable for learning the duties of a Residential Services Aide and begin with a paid in-classroom and on-the-job training program. You will learn how to care for and assist people with Intellectual Disabilities living at the Selinsgrove Center. Upon successful completion of a six-month probationary period as an Aide Trainee, you will be promoted to a Residential Services Aide.

Work Schedule and Additional Information :
- Full-time employment.
- The Department of Human Services provides excellent benefits, pay increases, paid leave and holidays, as well as opportunities for career advancement.
- Work hours during training : 1st shift 8 : 00 AM - 4 : 30 PM
- Work hours after training : 1st shift 6 : 00 AM - 2 : 30 PM
- Rotating break days, every 3rd weekend off.
- Travel and overtime as needed.

- Salary : Selected candidates who are new to employment within the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania will begin employment at the starting annual salary of $38,390.00 (before taxes).

This position falls under the provisions of the Older Adult Protective Services Act.
Under the Act, a conditional offer of employment will require submission and approval of satisfactory criminal history reports, including but not limited to, PA State Police and FBI clearance.
