DESCRIPTION OF WORK
As a Clerical Supervisor 2 at the DEP Southwest Regional Office, you will oversee the clerks working in the clean water, air quality, environmental cleanup, and waste management programs. Your primary responsibilities will involve handling administrative tasks for the clean water program, which include data entry, mail processing, and managing communications. You will assign and review work, evaluate team performance, approve leave requests, and recommend hiring or disciplinary actions. Additionally, you will review permit applications to ensure they have all necessary documents, assign licenses to engineers, identify deficiencies, and prepare deficiency letters as needed. You will establish deadlines for revisions, resolve issues regarding permit renewals, and respond to inquiries from consultants and permittees about application status and revisions.

Work Schedule and Additional Information :
- Full-time employment
- Work hours are 8 : 00 AM to 4 : 00 PM, Monday - Friday, with 30-minute lunch.
- Telework : You will have the opportunity to work from home (telework), part-time 2 days a week. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania. If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Pittsburgh.
- Salary : Selected candidates who are new to employment with the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania will begin employment at the starting annual salary of $44,890 (before taxes).

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY
QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Experience and Training Requirements :
One year as a Clerical Supervisor 1; or
One year as a Clerical Assistant 3; or
Two years of as a Clerical Assistant 2; or
An equivalent combination of experience and training.
Other Requirements :
