DESCRIPTION OF WORK
As a Construction and Materials Intern, you will have the chance to engage in a range of projects and tasks within the Laboratory Testing Section. This role offers valuable hands-on experience in laboratory testing programs for materials including steel, rebar, reflective materials, paint, concrete, aggregate products, asphalt, cement, and soils. You will be involved in activities such as sample logging, conducting tests in both laboratory and field environments, as well as the documenting of test results, and the storage and disposal of material samples.

Work Schedule and Additional Information :
- Full-time internship that will run from 5 / 1 / 2025 through 8 / 29 / 2025
Work hours will be 7 : 00 AM to 3 : 00 PM in all Lab Areas except Chemistry Lab where work hours will be 8 : 00 AM to 4 : 00 PM.
Some positions may require travel
Compensation is credit based :
Less than 90 credits - $20.76
Over 90 credits - $21.64
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY
QUALIFICATIONS
Students who are interested in a PennDOT internship must meet all of the following requirements :
In good academic standing (as defined by a GPA of 2.0 or higher)
Must be at least 18 years of age
Special Requirement : Possession of a valid Pennsylvania Class C Driver's License.
