DESCRIPTION OF WORK
As a Corrections Counselor 1, you will be responsible for casework management and providing professional counseling services to inmates at SCI Camp Hill. The counseling you provide will help inmates resolve personal and family problems, learn how to resolve conflicts, and appropriately address any other concerns. You can expect to conduct individual counseling, as well as help inmates obtain information regarding employment opportunities and community resources. In this position, you will be developing, maintaining, and presenting records and reports for managing an inmate caseload. Additionally, you will participate in parole planning and make recommendations on re-entry services.

Work Schedule and Additional Information :
- Full-time employment, 40 hours per week
- Work hours are 8 : 00 AM to 4 : 30 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch.
- Salary : In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.

You must obtain Commonwealth Law Enforcement Assistance Network (CLEAN) and Pennsylvania Justice Network (JNET) certification within two months of employment and maintain certification for the duration of employment in this job.
