THE POSITION
We are looking for a motivated and dependable person to provide case management services to customers and their families in home and community settings. If you like the idea of helping families work through potential problems and maximize their potential for independence, then CMSU needs you to help us help others.
On day one of employment, CMSU's employees begin earning paid vacation and sick time. In addition to vacation and sick time, CMSU provides four (4) personal days per year and 15 paid holidays. CMSU also provides health, dental and vision insurance to its staff. Tuition reimbursement for graduate and undergraduate courses both in-person or on-line is also available. CMSU staff also qualify for the Public Service Loan Forgiveness Program (PSLF).
DESCRIPTION OF WORK
The Caseworker will provide case management services to consumers and their families in their home or community, who have developmental disabilities, or who experience severe and persistent mental illness. Caseworkers collaborate with consumers and other involved agencies to locate and access all community resources and supportive services.
Work Schedule and Additional Information :
- Full-time employment.
- Work hours are 8 : 00 am to 4 : 00 pm, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY
QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Experience and Training Requirements :
A bachelor's degree which includes or is supplemented by successful completion of 12 college credits in sociology, social welfare, psychology, gerontology, criminal justice, or other related social sciences; or
Any equivalent combination of experience and training which includes 12 college credits in sociology, social welfare, psychology, gerontology, criminal justice, or other related social sciences and one year of experience as a County Social Services Aide 3 or in a similar position performing paraprofessional case management functions.
Applicants will be considered to have met the educational requirements once they are within two months of graduating with a qualifying degree / credits.

Legal Requirements :
This position falls under the provisions of the Child Protective Services Law.
Under the Law, a conditional offer of employment will require submission and approval of satisfactory criminal history reports including, but not limited to, PA State Police clearance, PA Child Abuse history clearance, and FBI Fingerprint clearance.
