- DESCRIPTION OF WORK
As a Program Specialist 1, you will function as the training liaison for the agency by mentoring, training, and shadowing staff via Charting the Course or Supervisory Training Series modules. You will participate in the interview process for caseworkers and casework supervisors, provide input for selection, and coordinate and establish schedules for newly hired staff to shadow and train beside seasoned casework staff in the field and office. This professional also provides valuable information to the community about the agency's mission, vision, and values through various events and trainings. You will have the opportunity to participate in pertinent committees, meetings, and trainings and relay vital information back to the agency. This position may be required to share responsibility of covering Supervisor Emergency Duty Coverage. Within this role, it is essential to maintain a strength-based and respectful attitude at all times.
Work Schedule and Additional Information:
- Full-time employment, 35 hour work week.
- Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 60-minute lunch.
- Some travel may be required.
- Salary: In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.

- REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY
QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
- Two years of professional level experience in the field of children, youth and families; and a bachelor's degree; or
- Any equivalent combination of experience and training.
Other Requirements:

- You must be able to perform essential job functions.
Legal Requirements:
- You must pass a background investigation.
- A conditional offer of employment will require a drug screening.
- This position falls under the provisions of the Child Protective Services Law.
- Under the Law, a conditional offer of employment will require submission and approval of satisfactory criminal history reports including, but not limited to, PA State Police clearance, PA Child Abuse history clearance, and FBI Fingerprint clearance.
