As a County Social Services Aide 1, you will provide essential support for children and families served by Fayette County Children, Youth, and Families. Your role involves providing support to staff in supporting families and ensuring compliance with regulations. Your responsibilities include overseeing family visitations, arranging transportation for clients, managing case files, establishing rapport, and guiding families during visitation supervision.
Work Schedule and Additional Information:
- Full-time employment
- Work hours are 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 60-minute lunch.
- This position requires a flexible schedule as hours will include non-traditional hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) part-time, up to 1 scheduled day per week, after the successful completion of a probationary period and the approval of the supervisor. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania. If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Uniontown.

QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
- Graduation from high school; or
- Any equivalent combination of training and experience.
Other Requirements:
- This particular position also requires possession of a valid driver's license which is not under suspension.

- Hiring preference for this vacancy may be given to candidates who live within Fayette County. If no eligible candidates who live within Fayette County apply for this position, candidates who reside in other counties may be considered.

Legal Requirements:
- A conditional offer of employment will require a drug screening.
- This position falls under the provisions of the Child Protective Services Law.
- Under the Law, a conditional offer of employment will require submission and approval of satisfactory criminal history reports including, but not limited to, PA State Police clearance, PA Child Abuse history clearance, and FBI Fingerprint clearance.
