Neshaminy State Park is currently looking for a seasonal full-time DCNR Ranger to enhance our team. DESCRIPTION OF WORK
As a DCNR Ranger Trainee, you will undergo an extensive 12-month training program aimed at developing the vital skills and techniques necessary for the role of a DCNR Ranger. This position involves engaging in various training activities that prepare you for a diverse set of responsibilities. Your duties will include patrolling park areas to ensure visitor safety, enforcing park regulations, and upholding relevant laws. It is essential to maintain a professional demeanor as a Park Ranger, showcasing a deep understanding of the park's environment, history, and regulations. Effective communication skills are imperative for assisting and educating visitors. Additionally, you will be responsible for law enforcement tasks, such as enforcing state park regulations, making arrests, and issuing citations when warranted. You will also investigate incidents, prepare reports, and collaborate with different law enforcement agencies. In emergency situations, you will take the lead in safeguarding both visitors and park resources, providing first aid and CPR as per your certifications.
Work Schedule and Additional Information :
- Seasonal full-time employment
- Work hours are 2 : 00 PM to 10 : 00 PM, 5 out of 7 days per week.
- Will be required to work holidays and weekends when needed for operational purposes
