DESCRIPTION OF WORK
In this role, you will support the data entry, processing, and analysis of information related to the revision of permits for underground bituminous coal mines and coal refuse disposal areas. By handling data entry tasks, you will alleviate some of the responsibilities of the permitting team, enabling them to assess permit revisions more efficiently. Additionally, as an Intern, you will contribute to investigations of water loss and evaluations of stream flow recovery. The data involved will include groundwater and surface water quality information that has been submitted as part of the process.

Work Schedule and Additional Information :
- Full-time internship that will run from 5 / 1 / 2025 through 8 / 29 / 2025
Work hours are 8 : 00 AM to 4 : 00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch

QUALIFICATIONS
Internship Requirements :
Geology / Geoscience
Environmental Science
Environmental Resource Management
Freshman year
completed
Good academic standing (2.0 GPA or higher)
Pennsylvania residency or enrollment at a Pennsylvania college or university
Additional Requirements :
You must be able to perform essential job functions.
