- DESCRIPTION OF WORK
This internship opportunity is situated within the Scientific and Technical domain at the DEP Southcentral Regional Office. The selected intern will collaborate closely with the Waste Management Program team, gaining hands-on experience and developing essential skills within the Technical Services Section. Additionally, the intern will support staff in both office and field activities, adhering to the established policies, procedures, and protocols set forth by the DEP.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:- Full-time internship that will last from 5/1/2025 through 8/29/2025
- Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with 30-minute lunch

- REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY
QUALIFICATIONS
Internship Requirements:
- Current full-time enrollment in a bachelor's degree or advanced degree program in one of the following acceptable majors:
- Geology/Earth Science
- Environmental Resource Management/Environmental science
- Biology, Chemistry, Ecology
- An approved major course of study at an accredited college or university.
- Freshman year completed.
- Good academic standing (2.0 GPA or higher)
- Pennsylvania residency or enrollment at a Pennsylvania college or university
Additional Requirements:
- This position requires possession of a valid Class C non-commercial driver's license.
- You must be able to perform essential job functions.
