In this position, you will engage directly with customers to confirm applicant identification, ensure the completion of application forms, and input data into online driver license application software. Responsibilities will encompass administering standardized knowledge assessments to gauge the applicant's comprehension of the Vehicle Code, driving regulations, and relevant traffic control devices. A vision screening for visual acuity will be conducted for all applicants utilizing a telebinocular instrument. You will also be tasked with entering applicant test results and customer applications for driver license services into online software systems via a PC terminal. It is essential to strictly follow all components of the Driver and Vehicle Services’ Customer Service Policy.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:

  • Full-time employment, 80 hours bi-weekly
  • Work hours are 8:15 AM to 4:45 PM, Tuesday - Saturday, with a 30-minute lunch.
  • Overtime and travel required
  • Salary: In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.

QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
  • One year of experience obtaining, evaluating, and providing information to the public.

  • You must be able to perform essential job functions.

  • This position requires the selected candidate to undergo and pass a Fingerprint and Name-Based Criminal History Check prior to employment.
