DESCRIPTION OF WORK

As a Fiscal Assistant, you will be responsible for preparing and maintaining agency purchase of service agreements and independent contractor contracts; assuring accuracy of provider rates; and obtaining all required supporting documentation initially and ongoing. Work involves performing contract monitoring duties for all agency contracts, including analyzation and data entry of provider progress notes and encounter forms as well as purchased provider site visits, in order to evidence services and ensure compliance. You will have the opportunity to serve as back-up in the absence of other fiscal staff, such as county time records and agency billing. Additional responsibilities include:

  • Monitoring purchased provider clearances and insurance
  • Communicating with stakeholders
  • Completing data entry of program and fiscal related information
  • Submitting reports and forms
  • Preparing fiscal reports for the Administrator and Fiscal Officer

Work Schedule and Additional Information:

  • Full-time employment
  • Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 60-minute lunch.
  • Salary: In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY

QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:

  • Two years of experience performing bookkeeping or clerical accounting work; or
  • An associate degree in accounting or business administration including or supplemented by 6 credits in accounting; or
  • Any equivalent combination of experience and training.
  • Applicants will be considered to have met the educational requirements once they are within 3 months of graduating with a qualifying degree.

  • You must be able to perform essential job functions.

Legal Requirements:

  • You must pass a background investigation.
  • This position falls under the provisions of the Child Protective Services Law.
    • Under the Law, a conditional offer of employment will require submission and approval of satisfactory criminal history reports including, but not limited to, PA State Police clearance, PA Child Abuse history clearance, and FBI Fingerprint clearance.
