A Game Land Maintenance Worker 1 performs semi-skilled work and assists with other duties. For example, in this position, you will assist with maintenance, repair, and construction of bridges, roads, parking areas, gates, posting signs, ranges, and more. This position also offers training courses and will include assisting with mowing, habitat management, and other duties as needed. Your responsibilities will also involve operating assigned equipment including hand tools, power tools, vehicles, off-road motorized equipment, and farm implements. Work Schedule and Additional Information:
- Full-time employment.
- Work hours are 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM, Monday - Friday, with 30-minute lunch.
- Telework: You will not have the option to telework in this position.
- Salary: In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.

QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
- One year of laboring experience using construction tools and equipment; or
- One year of farming experience using agricultural tools and equipment; or
- One year of construction equipment operation experience; or
- An equivalent combination of experience and training.
Special Requirements:
- This position requires possession of an active Pennsylvania non-commercial Class C driver’s license or equivalent.
- This position requires the selected candidate to obtain an active Class A Commercial Driver’s License within one year of employment in this job.
Additional Requirement:
- This position is in Somerset, PA, Somerset County. You must be willing to commute or relocate to work at this location.
- You must be able to traverse all types of terrains and work in all types of weather conditions.
- You must be able to perform essential job functions.
Preferred Qualifications (not required):
- Professional or personal experience in wildlife habitat management including producing food plots, improving or maintaining existing habitat to benefit wildlife by using tools and/or equipment
- Experience in the labor and construction industry using tools and equipment
- Experience maintaining labor and construction industry tools and equipment
- Experience in agricultural practices using tools and equipment
- Experience maintaining agricultural practices tools and equipment.
- A valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL)
- Any other credentials, certifications, or licenses that may assist you in this position
