DESCRIPTION OF WORK
In this position, you will regularly perform your assigned duties with considerable independence and discuss complex and technical questions with supervisor. You will process personnel actions while determining the appropriate transaction documents approval as well as answer employee inquiries involving general personnel procedural issues. This includes preparing and updating termination reports, submitting personnel transaction forms (PTF), and tracking the PTF through the approval process to provide the appropriate notifications when completed. The process involves processing DHS new hires once the candidate is recommended for hire including providing candidates with all required forms for signature; forwarding information and forms for drug testing, real estate verification and clearances, as needed; submitting the electronic personnel action for hire; tracking the action through the approval process; and scheduling the new hire for County and DHS orientation and onboarding.
Your role will also include providing employment information to candidates and employees by answering general questions about position vacancies, the application process, and other personnel issues or policies. You will have the opportunity to attend meetings, State Civil Service trainings and other appropriate trainings and seminars to maintain and enhance job knowledge and skills. Work Schedule and Additional Information :
- Full-time employment
- Work hours are 8 : 00 AM to 4 : 00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 60-minute lunch.
- Salary : In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.
