Liquor Store Clerk 2 (Sales Team Lead) - West Lancaster Avenue, Bryn Mawr

The Pennsylvania Liquor Control Board is looking for friendly, motivated individuals to help deliver outstanding customer care in our Fine Wine & Good Spirits stores. In this position, you will be responsible for leading a shift in a liquor store, overseeing the work of lower-level clerks, and participating in the performance of routine duties. This includes customer service, ringing sales on a cash register, unloading shipments, stocking shelves, building displays, and cleaning the store. You will also provide on-the-job training to lower-level store employees regarding store procedures and policies, assign and review work, and resolve customer service and product-related issues as well as complete accounting and inventory reports and oversee cash management issues on the shift.  Work Schedule and Additional Information:

• Full-time employment, 75 hours biweekly.
• Work hours vary between 7:00 AM and 10:00 PM, Sunday – Saturday. 
• Salary: The starting salary for this position for new Commonwealth employees is fixed at the minimum salary listed above and is not negotiable.

QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:

• Six months as a Liquor Store Clerk 1 or Intermittent Liquor Store Clerk (commonwealth titles); or
• Six months of retail sales work.

• You must be able to perform essential job functions.

Legal Requirements: 

• You must pass a background investigation. An applicant with a felony conviction within the last ten years of their prospective date of employment is not permitted to work for the PLCB, per section 210(c) of the Pennsylvania Liquor Code. Other criminal convictions will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis.
