Residential Services Aide - Selinsgrove Center (2nd Shift)

As a Residential Services Aide, you will provide vital assistance in the delivery and observation of treatment, training, and related services for individuals at Selinsgrove Center. Based on the needs outlined in each individual's treatment plan, you will provide support in the areas of self-care, socialization, and health maintenance. Your duties will include documenting information accurately to assist with the coordination of services. Working as part of the interdisciplinary team, you will collaborate with other professionals to ensure the best possible care for each individual.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:

• Full-time employment (40 hours per week)
• Work hours are 2:00 PM to 10:30 PM (2nd shift) with a rotating schedule and a 30-minute lunch.
• Overtime and travel may be required as operationally necessary.
• Salary: Selected candidates who are new to employment with the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania will begin employment at the starting annual salary of $41,582.00 (before taxes).

QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:

• Successful completion of the Aide Trainee program (commonwealth title); or
• Six months of paid experience in the care, activities, and personal guidance of individuals with intellectual disabilities. 

Other Requirements:

• You must be able to perform essential job functions.

Legal Requirements

• A conditional offer of employment will require a medical examination and drug screening.
• This position falls under the provisions of the Older Adult Protective Services Act.
  • Under the Act, a conditional offer of employment will require submission and approval of satisfactory criminal history reports, including but not limited to, PA State Police and FBI clearance.
