THE POSITION

DESCRIPTION OF WORK
As an engineering intern, you will have the opportunity to engage with multiple facets of the field, such as pavement design and maintenance. Become familiar with pavement design software and various PennDOT systems. Assist with pavement designs and QC / QA reviews of pavement designs. internship serves as a valuable opportunity to refine your technical skills, translate theoretical concepts into real-world applications, and work alongside committed engineering professionals who prioritize innovation and quality.

Work Schedule and Additional Information :
- Full-time internship that will run from 5 / 1 / 2025 through 8 / 29 / 2025
Work hours are 8 : 00 AM to 4 : 00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch.
Telework : You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) part-time, up to 3 days a week. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania. If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Harrisburg.

Compensation is credit based :
Less than 90 credits - $20.76
Over 90 credits - $21.64
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY
QUALIFICATIONS
Students who are interested in a PennDOT internship must meet all of the following requirements :
In good academic standing (as defined by a GPA of 2.0 or higher)
Must be at least 18 years of age
Special Requirement : Possession of a valid Pennsylvania Class C Driver's License.
