In this advanced engineering role within the Dams and Waterways Section of the Waterways and Wetlands Program, you will engage in specialized engineering tasks focused on hydrology and hydraulics. Your responsibilities will include supporting the implementation of statewide initiatives related to waterway and floodplain management, as outlined by the Dam Safety and Encroachments Act, the Clean Streams Law, and the Flood Plain Management Act. Furthermore, you will oversee the execution of programs concerning NPDES Stormwater Construction Permitting, Erosion and Sedimentation Control, and Post Construction Stormwater Management, in accordance with the Clean Streams Law, specifically Chapters 102 and 93, which address Erosion and Sediment Control, Stormwater Management, and Water Quality Standards.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:
- Full-time employment
- Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch.
- Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) part-time, up to 3 days a week. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania. If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Norristown.
- Salary: Selected candidates who are new to employment with the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania will begin employment at the starting annual salary of $73,995 (before taxes).

Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
- Six years of civil engineering experience in the appropriate specialty and an Engineer-in-Training certificate issued by or acceptable to the Pennsylvania State Registration Board for Professional Engineers, Land Surveyors and Geologists; or
- Five years of civil engineering experience in the appropriate specialty; and an Engineer-in-Training certificate issued by or acceptable to the Pennsylvania State Registration Board for Professional Engineers, Land Surveyors and Geologists; and an associate’s degree in civil engineering technology or a closely related engineering discipline; or
- Two years of professional civil engineering experience in the appropriate specialty, and a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or a closely related engineering discipline.
Special Requirements:
- This position requires possession of a valid driver's license which is not under suspension.
- This position requires possession of a Professional Engineer license issued by the Pennsylvania State Registration Board for Professional Engineers, Land Surveyors and Geologists.

- PA residency requirement is currently waived for this title.
