In this position, you will be assigned to the Maintenance Department at Torrance State Hospital with a working location in the Power House. Your duties will include operating the necessary boilers and related equipment for the production of steam to assure adequate heat and hot water for the operation of the hospital in accordance with standards and regulations.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:
- Full-time employment
- Work hours are 6:30 AM to 2:30 PM, Tuesday - Thursday, 10:30 PM to 6:30 AM, Friday - Saturday, with a 30-minute lunch.
- Overtime as required and subject to emergency call in.
- Salary: In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.

QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
- One year of experience as a Utility Plant Operator 1 (commonwealth title); or
- One year of semi-skilled work experience in the operation, maintenance, or repair of industrial, commercial, or institutional utility plant systems and related equipment; or
- An equivalent combination of experience and training that includes six months of semi-skilled work experience in the operation, maintenance, or repair of industrial, commercial, or institutional utility plant systems and related equipment.

- You must be able to perform essential job functions.
Legal Requirements:
- A conditional offer of employment will require a medical examination.
- This position falls under the provisions of the Older Adult Protective Services Act.
- Under the Act, a conditional offer of employment will require submission and approval of satisfactory criminal history reports, including but not limited to, PA State Police and FBI clearance.
