Job Description
The Administrative Assistant provides primary administrative support to the Associate Vice Provost for Academic Advising Initiatives. Responsibilities of the position include general fiscal and administrative functions and office management of Academic Advising Initiatives which includes three units: Academic Advising and Transition Support, Multicultural Academic Opportunities Program (MAOP), and Scholarship Support. This position supports all units within Academic Advising Initiatives in addition to collaborating with Academic Success Initiatives to support overall student success.
Required Qualifications
Strong organizational skills; Experience in reception, customer service, administrative assistant, or related position; Demonstrated ability to learn new systems and processes; Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Google suites; Experience in handling sensitive information and documents; Evidence of strong communication.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience working in university or college administration; Experience managing calendars, scheduling, and travel arrangements; Experience with financial systems and travel reimbursement procedures; Experience with event and/or planning of meetings
