Job Duties
Job Summary : The Deputy Clerk is assigned operational responsibilities and ensures courts instructions are executed, legal papers are prepared with accuracy and in accordance with appropriate policies and procedures.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities: Duties include but are not limited to, preparing detailed court documents in accordance with established guidelines, data entry, answering phone inquiries, assisting at the customer service counter, scanning case papers into GDIS system, scheduling matters for court, preparing legal documents, processing copy request and other documents as needed, filing and any additional duties that may be assigned by the Clerk. The selected individual must possess the ability to professionally interact with diverse customers from attorneys, law enforcement and various agency staff to the public. The Deputy Clerk must provide excellent, accurate and informational customer service in person and by phone.
Minimum Qualifications
High School diploma or equivalent required. Most competitive applicants will have considerable court, business, or office related experience. Applicants should be highly organized and possess significant knowledge, skills, and abilities to learn quickly computer software, and have excellent written and verbal communication skills. Time management skills and fast data entry/computer skills are required.
