Job Duties
Come grow with us! It's a great time to join our team as the Director of Finance and oversee the management, control, and reporting of annual appropriations and a Federal Trust Fund.
Oversees accounting, reporting and Treasury operations (Trust Fund, A/P, A/R, payroll, and cashier functions); preparation and submission of financial reports; accounting, financial, fixed asset, and lease activities reported in various automated systems; policy and procedure development and implementation; and internal controls to ensure compliance and effective operations. Provides executive level support to the Chief Administrative Officer and Executive Team; performs fiduciary management of cash receipts and disbursements; ensures financial and accounting activities comply with established requirements; and works with partners to meet business needs and provide shared services support.
Oversees FMS and Cardinal implementation; assists with documentation/evaluation/testing of system and internal controls updates, enhancements, and processes; and recommends technologies, solutions, policies and procedures to enhance and optimize efficiencies and streamline operations.
Works closely with leadership to align financial strategies with organizational goals and drive performance improvements across the shared services framework.
Provides high level project management and coordination; manages professional staff and administrative functions; and provides support to Director of Budget/Grants and Chief Administrative Officer (CAO).
Minimum Qualifications
Considerable knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles, general ledger accounting, finance, Treasury, and related state and federal requirements; budget policies and practices; financial reporting requirements; internal control and audit standards, policies and procedures; and grant requirements.
Excellent oral and written communication, computer (e.g., Microsoft Office Professional or 360 or comparable software), quality assurance, financial reporting and analysis, and leadership skills.
Demonstrated ability to manage financial/accounting/treasury/reporting functions and operations; plan, forecast, analyze and audit financial data; identify and report issues, make sound recommendations and negotiate resolution of problems; prepare financial reports and statements; work with automated systems; provide training and respond to requests; facilitate effective working relationships with various parties; and ensure timely delivery of services.
