The Internship Opportunity: Accounting
The Port of Virginia – Virginia Port Authority is seeking an Accounting Intern to detail inter-company process scope on invoicing, payments, reconciliations & reporting, and to streamline the flow of these transactions.
The Port of Virginia's 8-Week Summer Internship Program runs from June 2, 2025 - July 25, 2025, and is designed to develop, teach, and mentor undergraduate and graduate students as they explore career opportunities within the maritime industry. Students will have the opportunity to apply classroom knowledge to hands on, project-focused tasks in various departments throughout The Port of Virginia.
What You’ll Do: Outcomes & Experience
- Gain understanding of how the Accounting department works.
- Interact with other financial departments such as General Accounting, Payroll, Accounts Payable/Receivable, and Billing.
Who You Are: Qualifications
- Must be currently enrolled and in an accredited program or graduate program (having completed freshman / first year) during the time of the program.
- Must be available to work full time (40 hours per week) from June 2, 2025 to July 25, 2025.
- Must attach a resume and cover letter.
