Job Summary:
This role involves identifying, attracting, and recruiting qualified physicians to meet organizational needs while ensuring a seamless and positive candidate experience. Leveraging a strong professional network, excellent communication skills, and a deep understanding of healthcare recruitment strategies, the Physician Recruiter manages the entire recruitment lifecycle—from sourcing candidates to negotiating competitive offers and fostering long-term relationships. Approximately 50% travel and is a remote position.
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
Candidate Sourcing:
- Proactively identify potential physician candidates through online job boards, professional networks, referrals, fellowship programs, and industry events such as conferences.
Screening:
- Conduct initial screenings to evaluate candidates’ qualifications, experience, and fit for the role, including verification of medical licenses and credentials.
In-depth Interviewing:
- Perform comprehensive interviews to assess clinical skills, cultural alignment, and suitability for practice settings.
Candidate Presentation and Negotiation:
- Present highly qualified candidates to stakeholders, facilitate communication between parties, and negotiate compensation packages, including salary, benefits, and relocation assistance.
Relationship Management:
- Build and maintain strong relationships with physicians, clinical leaders, and other stakeholders to identify recruitment opportunities and ensure smooth transitions for new hires.
Market Analysis:
- Stay informed about current trends in the healthcare industry, physician compensation benchmarks, and regulatory changes to shape recruitment strategies.
Recruitment Strategy Development:
- Collaborate with hiring managers to create targeted recruitment plans tailored to specific physician specialties and organizational needs.
Compliance Management:
- Ensure all recruitment processes adhere to healthcare regulations and industry compliance standards.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
Healthcare Expertise:
- Deep understanding of medical specialties, healthcare operations, and industry trends.
Exceptional Communication Skills:
- Proven ability to build rapport, communicate effectively, and negotiate successfully with candidates and stakeholders.
Strong Networking Abilities:
- Adept at leveraging professional connections to identify and attract top physician talent.
Recruitment Experience:
- Demonstrated success in physician recruitment, with a track record of filling complex roles efficiently.
Sales and Negotiation Skills:
- Confidence in negotiating competitive offers and successfully closing candidate placements while working directly with CP&S Partners
Technology Proficiency:
- Experience with Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS) and recruitment tools for managing candidate pipelines and workflows effectively.
Preferred Experience:
Pain Management Physician Recruiter, Physician Liaison, Pharmaceutical Sales or Medical Device Sales
Education:
- Bachelor’s Degree preferred. Experience acceptable in-lieu of degree.
Physical Requirements:
