Duties:
Responsible for the day-to-day clerical operations of the Honors College while ensuring that high-impact practices are followed.
Manage the Honors College office at the Bloomsburg campus including supervising the student employees, maintaining and handling confidential documents and student records, monitor and reconcile the budget and foundation fund expenditures, responsible for the honors college purchasing card, etc.
Perform clerical duties including managing correspondence both mail and electronic for the honorscollege@commonwealthu.edu, provide clerical support for the Dean of the Honors College including managing the dean’s calendar, coordinating the Honors College meetings, agendas, send correspondence to all recruited, accepted and denied students,
and minutes, and complete forms (duplicating, food, purchasing requests, work orders, travel authorization, etc.
Coordinate the Honors College academic activity in collaboration with the Dean and Directors including schedule building, student information including fulfillment of honors program requirements, and tracking, auditing, and notifying students of the satisfactory academic progress in the Honors College.
Assist the Directors and Dean in communication and collaboration with other campus offices including admissions, financial aid, MarComm, Finance, Facilities, Campus Life, and Academic Affairs
Coordinate Honors College Special Events and Programming including welcome week, orientation, field trips, workshops, conferences, meetings, trainings, graduation recognition, and study abroad arrangements including scheduling rooms, catering, venue set up, travel authorization, reimbursement, and accommodations. This work might include some availability at evening and weekend events outside of scheduled working hours where assistance is needed.
Responsible for monitoring and reconciling the budget and foundation monies as well as coordinating the High Impact Experience Scholarship monies for the Honors College.
Responsible for supervision of all student employees for the Honors College
Minimum Qualifications:
Six months as a Clerical Assistant 1;
OR
Graduation from high school;
OR
An equivalent combination of experience and training.
This position requires keyboarding skills to meet standards for speed and accuracy.
