CommQuest is currently seeking a part-time and/or full-time Trauma Therapist for our Alliance Outpatient office. The Trauma Therapist provides specialized therapeutic services to individuals focusing on recovery and resilience principles. They empower individuals who have experienced severe mental illness and trauma to integrate, function, and succeed in their natural environments. Services include trauma-focused interventions, symptom monitoring, crisis management, ongoing assessment of needs, advocacy, and connections to natural and community supports and resources. The Trauma Therapist is expected to establish working relationships with diverse individuals in various settings and situations. They must demonstrate the ability to work collaboratively with others on behalf of the client both within the agency and in the community. The position requires experience working with adults with severe mental illness and a strong background in trauma therapy.

What you'll do:
- Provide empowerment and promotion of recovery and resilience principles, with a specific emphasis on trauma recovery.
- Provide facilitation and development of daily living skills, addressing trauma-related challenges.
- Maintain effective crisis management, considering trauma triggers and responses.
- Maintain regular contact with client caseload while providing trauma-competent advocacy and outreach.
- Provide symptom monitoring and trauma-focused interventions to reduce psychological symptoms.
- Perform accurate and timely documentation of trauma-focused interventions, according to agency standards.
- All other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
- A Master's degree in Social Work, Psychology, or a related Human Service field is highly preferred, with additional training or certification in trauma therapy. Minimum LPC or LSW is required. Those with LISW or LPCC preferred.
- Previous experience working with adults with severe mental illness and trauma is highly preferred.
- Must possess strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with other providers in the agency and community, with a specific focus on trauma-competent collaboration.
- Requires a valid Ohio Driver's License, proof of auto insurance, and use of a personal vehicle, considering transportation challenges that may arise for trauma survivors.
- Must initiate Sexual Violence Advocate training within 30 days of hire.
