What are the responsibilities and job description for the Mechanical Assy/Production (5) position at Commtech Services Inc?
We are seeking Production Assemblers to become a valued member of our assembly team! The ideal candidates would be individuals who under moderate supervision applies standard procedures to perform a variety of component assembly tasks, ensuring products meet our high standards. Training will be provided! Safety and following detailed instructions must be a priority. The tasks are highly repetitious and can be mundane however mental toughness and focus is imperative. Good manual dexterity is a must.
Responsibilities :
- Assembles components in accordance with drawings and operation sheets.
- Responsible for weighing, loading and pressing operations.
- Handle tooling and fixtures / use various hand tools to produce or modify parts.
- Maintains count and order progress and logs in time / quantities.
- Closes and assembles units (use of crimping and closure tools and epoxy applications).
- Soldering tasks, i.e. small wire soldering, terminal soldering, bridge wire welding.
- Assists with the packaging of pyrotechnic assemblies where required.
- Follows required company safety practices and quality procedures.
- Physical activity includes lifting up to 50lbs. Qualifications :
- Previous experience in manufacturing, assembly, or other related fields- minimum 1 year
- Familiarity with assembly tools and equipment
- Ability to handle physical workload
- Ability to work well in teams
