Press Brake / Laser Operator
Job Summary: The Press Brake / Laser Operator will operate and maintain press brake and laser cutting machines, ensuring efficient production and high-quality output. This role involves troubleshooting machine issues, maintaining a clean and safe workspace, and adhering to all safety protocols. The operator will work closely with the Sheet Metal Foreman in a team-oriented fabrication environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate press brake and laser cutting machines to shape metal materials.
- Set up and adjust machine settings based on material specifications.
- Perform routine machine maintenance and troubleshoot issues.
- Read and interpret technical drawings to ensure precision in production.
- Inspect finished products to ensure they meet quality standards.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
- Collaborate with team members and follow supervisor instructions.
Requirements:
- High school diploma (trade school certificate preferred).
- 2 years of experience in sheet metal fabrication.
- Proficiency in using CNC machines and related software (e.g., Sigmanest, TruTops Boost).
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and measurements.
- Physical ability to lift 50 lbs, stand for long periods, and perform repetitive tasks.
Desired Skills:
- Experience with Trumpf Machinery.
- Knowledge of bend tolerances and laser cutting techniques.
- Strong teamwork and communication skills.
