About the Job LPN|RN
As a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) or Registered Nurse (RN), you will provide high-quality patient care in a dynamic healthcare environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct patient care, including administering medications, wound care, and monitoring vital signs.
- Assist with the development and implementation of patient care plans to ensure optimal health outcomes.
- Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to coordinate quality patient care.
- Document patient information, medical history, and treatment plans accurately and thoroughly.
- Perform basic medical procedures such as suture removal and dressing changes.
- Support case management and coordination of care for patients with complex medical needs.
- Conduct physical examinations and assessments to determine patient health status.
- Provide education and support to patients and their families regarding healthcare management.
Required Skills:
- Proficient in using electronic health record systems, such as Athenahealth, to document patient information accurately.
- Experience working in a hospital or similar healthcare setting, providing care to patients of various ages and medical conditions.
- Knowledge of medical documentation standards and ability to maintain accurate and detailed records.
- Familiarity with case management principles and ability to coordinate care for patients with multiple healthcare providers.
- Understanding of occupational health practices and ability to assess and address work-related injuries or illnesses.
- Competency in performing physical examinations, including assessing vital signs, conducting screenings, and documenting findings.
- Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) for healthcare providers.
- Familiarity with medical coding systems and ability to assign appropriate codes for billing purposes.
- Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities is an asset.
